Project UMA group held their annual group meeting in Galata, Istanbul (October, 2013). The three day workshop involved presentations and group discussions of the current situations of the individual projects, and future planning.

Clementine Thurgood and Janneke Blijlevens were awarded a Swinburne Research Visiting Researcher Scheme grant for a visit of Janneke Blijlevens to Swinburne University of Technology (01/01/2013 – 31/01/2013).
IASDR 2013 Invited session on Aesthetic Experience in Design
Paul Hekkert and Lin-Lin Chen organized an invited session on Aesthetic Experience in Design at IASDR Conference, held at Tokyo on August 2013. The session aimed to bring together the best of current aesthetic research in design aesthetics, involving the principles, models and frameworks, research methodologies and case studies.
